The framework

The Five Foundations.

Every player is different. My job is to make you the best version of yourself in your game — developed within your own natural method, never forced into someone else's template. Five foundations shape every session, every plan, and every player I coach.

01

Above the Shoulders

Great players are made by great mindsets. Confidence, clear intent, composure under pressure, and the mindset to take the game on.

What I work onintent and decision-making, response to pressure, match preparation, and the mental side of performing — not just surviving. Plus the routines that help each player enter their own flow state.

02

Technique

A repeatable, efficient method — built within your natural style, not bent into a template. I work on cause, not symptom.

What I work onall facets of the game — batting technique, bowling action mechanics, keeping fundamentals, and fielding (throwing, ground fielding and catching) — analysed on the spot with video, with countless drills to sharpen your technique.

03

Power

The physical engine. Generating genuine pace, hitting power, and explosive athleticism.

What I work onrun-up and sprint mechanics for quicks, explosive power through the crease, the strength to get more fizz on the ball, and force generation to hit it further. Plus the fitness and diving technique to take your fielding to the next level.

04

Cricket IQ

Too often I see good bowlers let down by poor field settings, or good batsmen with no game plan. Reading the game and choosing the right tactics is a crucial skill — the thinking layer that separates good players from smart ones.

What I work ongame awareness, match-ups, length and field decisions, and knowing when to attack and when to hold — plus the leadership skills to captain and take your game to the next level.

05

Match Craft

The most important foundation: turning skill and theory into runs and wickets when it actually counts. Performing the plan under match pressure across a wide range of situations — this is where the other four foundations come together.

What I work onbuilding an innings in all formats, bowling to a plan for different match-ups, adapting to conditions, and executing every skill under real game pressure. It's crucial to practise applying the Foundations while challenging the player and encouraging critical thinking.

Every player gets a custom-built plan with these five foundations at its cornerstone — weighted and adapted to their individual skills and goals.
